Position Summary:
As part of our ongoing commitment to cybersecurity, we are seeking an experienced IT Security Manager to join Acme. This mid-level position is designed for individuals with a solid foundation in IT security practices and a proven track record of safeguarding systems, networks, and data. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing our security measures, responding to and mitigating security alerts from various tools, monitoring system vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents with efficiency and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security protocols and measures to enhance the protection of computer systems, networks, and data.
- Perform thorough assessments of the Organizations IT infrastructure to identify and rectify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate security audits and investigations into security breaches, providing detailed incident response analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to address and remediate identified vulnerabilities
- Stay abreast of the latest security threats and trends, including tactics, techniques, and procedures, to proactively defend against security breaches.
- Maintain and update organizational security policies and procedures.
- Conduct and facilitate security awareness training for employees, promoting best practices in information security.
- Work closely with the IT departments to balance security needs with business requirements and operations.
- Coordinate with 3rd Party Vendors to maintain Incident Response Plan including tabletop exercises and penetration tests.
- Collaborate with organizational teams to identify current and emerging internal and external security vulnerabilities, devising strategies to mitigate information security risks effectively
- Provide regular reporting on the information security program status to senior leaders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with 5 or more years of relevant experience in IT security.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies
- Advanced experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
- Expertise with Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, Rapid 7, Mimecast, Abnormal Security, Microsoft EOP or similar tools preferred
- Active security certification(s) such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives.
- Consistently display the ability to interact and communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects
