JOB SUMMARY
Actively solicits the Architect and Design communities, promoting Commdoor product offerings and technical options, that aligns with sales strategies and business development channels throughout the Canadian Maritimes, Ontario and Manitoba Provinces.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develops strong relationships with new/existing Architects & Designers to grow the business.
- Works collaboratively with A&D Community to better understand their needs and goes out of the way to deliver on commitments made.
- Promotes Commdoor and Glass Group product lines and business portfolio across the Industry and A&D Trade Associations.
- Develops product presentation and geographical footprint of A&D opportunities for approval by Regional Sales Manager.
- Conducts architectural presentations to a high standard and with positive impact.
- Attends project site meetings, and inspections as required in order to better service and understand the needs of customers and key stakeholders and ensure delivery of timely services in line with client agreements.
- Monitor sales trends and actively take part in promotional campaigns to generate interest and secure orders.
- Keep up to date on competitor progress and be alert to competitor activities and changes in market trends.
- Reviews architectural and glazing contractor drawings, as required.
- Secure and foster the inclusion of Commdoor & Toro Glass Group into project specifications.
- Present the Commdoor and Glass Group offerings to Regional School Boards.
- Manage the Commdoor sample program.
- Produces activity reports and business reports as required by the needs of the business.
- Develops and maintains a client/customer portfolio and key contact details and ensure information is regularly updated.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sales experience within the design-oriented or construction-related industry, calling on the Architect community.
- Ability to review blueprints will be considered an asset.
- Ability to enhance the content of/ improve the business website will also be considered an asset.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Superior time management and organizational abilities.
- Driven by self-initiative and achievement.
- MS Office Suite and web inquiries computer skills.
- Ability to travel with overnight stays.
