The Estimator/Project Manager will perform a variety of tasks to support the sales department (inside/outside), logistics and project management. Ensuring seamless coordination between Brucha Corp and its customers, as well as with Brucha HQ in Austria, is the primary aim. The role works within Brucha's established pricing and margin framework to deliver accurate, competitive, and disciplined quotes, and to support successful project execution from quote through delivery.
Estimating
• Review construction documents, including plans and specifications, to understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including owners, general contractors, and installers, to gather necessary information and clarify project scope.
• Conduct takeoffs using construction estimating software or manual methods to determine material quantities for insulated metal panel installations.
• Utilize industry expertise and knowledge of Brucha products to establish unit prices for insulated metal panels based on project specifications and requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate quotes, including material quantities, unit prices, lump sum costs, and delivery schedules, in a timely manner.
• Apply Brucha's pricing model and margin standards consistently, working within established review and approval workflows.
• Maintain documentation discipline throughout the pre-sale process, including signed quotes, valid purchase orders, and complete cut lists, in accordance with Brucha's quoting and PO compliance standards.
Project Management
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials to project sites.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project kick-off meetings as needed to provide technical support and address any inquiries related to material estimates and specifications.
• Monitor project progress and update material estimates as necessary based on changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances.
• Maintain constant contact with customers to ensure a smooth project workflow and maintain relationships.
• Support resolution of post-sale issues, including back charges and scope adjustments, in coordination with sales and operations.
Development
• Collaborate with technical services teams to develop innovative solutions and value-added services to meet customer needs and enhance competitiveness in the market.
• Collaborate with operations to continually refine and improve internal processes for increased efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness to a changing market.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of Brucha's pricing and estimating tools, including current spreadsheet-based tools and future integrated platforms.
Requirements
• Experience in construction estimating, project management, or a closely related role, preferably in building envelope, insulated metal panels, or specialty building products.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications and perform accurate quantity takeoffs.
• Comfortable working with structured pricing models, margin calculations, and formal approval workflows.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with various teams.
• Flexibility to adapt to diverse tasks and projects.
• Must be proficient with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, MS Office.
• Must have familiarity with AI workflow integrations.
• Should have familiarity working in ERP systems.
Expectations
• Stay current with market trends, as well as threats to competitive advantage.
• Research avenues for productivity improvements, including new methodologies and tools, including AI integrations.
• Daily efforts to improve Brucha Corp’s products, processes, and service.
Additional Responsibilities
In addition to the duties listed above, the Estimator/Project Manager may be required to perform other related tasks as directed by management. This role is dynamic and may evolve over time, reflecting the changing needs of the company and its operations. The Estimator/Project Manager is expected to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, embracing a variety of challenges and assignments with a positive, can-do attitude. Work Environment
The Estimator/Project Manager is a remote office position, with regular periodic visits to the Denver and/or Norfolk office (schedule TBD). Occasional visits to project sites and customer meetings may be required as necessary. The position may also require occasional overtime hours to meet project deadlines and accommodate different time zones. Reasonable office expenses are reimbursable. Any large equipment or supply purchases must be approved by Brucha Corp. management.
Salary & Benefits
The Estimator/Project Manager position is a full-time position with a full benefits package including health insurance, life insurance, retirement, PTO and holidays. Responsibility for health insurance premium is shared 50/50 by Brucha Corp and the employee. Base salary = $75,000.
