Experiences and skills sought
- Be willing to work a variable schedule; days, evenings and one weekend out of two.
- Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and be skilled in customer service.
- Possess excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Having one to two years of experience as a supervisor or team leader is an asset.
- Ability to lift a load weighing up to 23 kg (50 lb), alone or with the help of a colleague .
Job Responsibilities
- Lead associates and encourage them to build relationships with customers and colleagues in order to provide exceptional customer service and generate gross sales while having excellent merchandising and product knowledge.
- Ensure that sufficient staffing is maintained within the department or service to meet the needs of the company.
- Manage associate performance by providing development opportunities, communicating responsibilities and objectives, recognizing and rewarding efforts, and offering ongoing feedback.
- Review numerous reports, including those related to sales, and collaborate with the assistant manager to formulate recommendations aimed at improving inventory, top shelf organization, and related product merchandising to stimulate sales.
- Ensure stock availability at all times and adherence to the organization plans for the upper shelves.
- Analyze, resolve and report customer issues appropriately.
- Report on store sales, events and promotional activities during daily and weekly department or service meetings.
- Ensure that all standards and protocols relating to the security and protection of resources are respected and clearly communicated.
