We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented LBM Estimator to join our growing team.

Position Overview

The LBM Estimator will provide professional and timely estimates for lumber and building material projects, supporting both contractors and retail customers. This role requires strong product knowledge, blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to follow up on jobs to ensure customer satisfaction and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely estimates, take-offs, and quotations for lumber and building material projects.

• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

• Follow up on quoted jobs, ensuring excellent communication with contractors, builders, and retail customers.

• Work closely with the sales team to convert estimates into orders.

• Provide product recommendations and technical advice to customers.

• Collaborate with suppliers to confirm pricing and availability.

• Support the Lumber Manager and sales staff as required.

• Maintain compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Estimating certification (or equivalent) with 5+ years of direct experience in estimating.

• Strong knowledge of lumber and building materials.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

• Computer proficiency and familiarity with estimating software (training available).

• Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently when required.
