The Outside Sales Representative is a key contributor to Encore’s growth across the GTA and surrounding area, driving business development, territory strategy, and customer relationships.

This role is ideal for a hunter — someone motivated, committed, and genuinely enthusiastic about building long-term partnerships. You will spend most of your time in the field meeting contractors, builders, and vendors, developing new accounts while maintaining strong ties with existing ones.

Primary Responsibilities

Execute a sales plan focused on growth, new business, and customer retention.
Identify and pursue opportunities while maintaining existing accounts.
Build strong, ongoing relationships through regular in-person visits and responsive follow-up.
Collaborate with internal teams — including operations, logistics, and procurement — to support coverage and ensure customer satisfaction.
Share with leadership sales results, customer insights, and territory progress.
Stay informed on industry trends and market activity.
Represent Encore at client meetings, job sites, and industry or client events as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Sales or business development experience in construction, building materials, or distribution is preferred.
Industry and product knowledge (drywall, insulation, steel, roofing) considered an asset.
Relevant education may substitute for direct experience.
Proven ability to prospect, develop, and retain accounts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Highly self-motivated, reliable, and organized.
Comfortable traveling across the GTA and surrounding area — majority on the road, with some after-hours meetings.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
