Role Overview:
The Delivery Driver is the final - and often most visible - connection between Central Plumbing Supply and the contractors we serve. This role keeps job sites supplied and on schedule, combining reliable route execution with professional customer interaction at every stop. You'll represent Central Plumbing on the road and play a key role in the service experience our customers count on.
What You Will Do:
Route Delivery & Transportation
- Transport plumbing products and materials to customer job sites, contractor locations, and other delivery points across the region.
- Review shipping documentation and verify order accuracy before departing on assigned routes.
- Plan efficient delivery routes or follow assigned itineraries to meet customer timelines.
- Deliver orders safely and on schedule, adapting to changing site conditions and customer needs.
Loading, Securing & Vehicle Care
- Load orders onto the delivery vehicle using a forklift or pump truck, working within scheduled delivery windows.
- Organize and secure materials on the truck to prevent damage or breakage during transit.
- Unload products at destination in accordance with site-specific requirements and safety protocols.
- Obtain customer signatures to confirm proof of delivery.
- Maintain the delivery vehicle in clean, safe, and road-ready condition - reporting any mechanical concerns promptly.
Warehouse & Team Support
- Support warehouse operations as needed; receiving, picking, and stock organization.
- Communicate delivery issues, customer feedback, or route concerns to the appropriate internal channels - inside sales, purchasing, warehouse manager, etc.
- Represent Central Plumbing Supply professionally at every stop - you are the face of the company on the road.
What You Bring:
- Valid DZ Class driver's license (required); plus boom truck certificate.
- Clean driving abstract - no at-fault accidents or major infractions within the last 3 years.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to take ownership of the route.
- A genuine commitment to customer service and building trust with the trades.
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- A team-player willing to pitch in wherever the team needs support.
- Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification.
- Familiarity with the GTA and surrounding areas is an asset.
- Previous delivery experience in wholesale distribution, building materials, or a related trade environment is preferred but not required.
