Job Description
As an Account Manager at Doka Canada, your role is to manage a designated sales territory, focusing on retaining existing accounts and generating new business opportunities. You play a crucial role in expanding Doka's market presence by strategically maximizing sales and fostering strong client relationships. You enjoy traveling, value interacting with people, and prefer working in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying Potential Clients: Actively search for potential clients through cold calling, converting prospects into sales appointments.
- Develop and Expand Accounts: Develop new and existing accounts by maintaining business relationships through face-to-face interactions.
- Maintaining the Customer Database: Regularly update and use a complete customer/prospect database, ensuring its accuracy and accessibility.
- Traveling within the Sales Territory: Frequent travel within your assigned territory is essential to building customer loyalty, meeting their needs, and ensuring strong relationships.
- Prepare and Present Proposals: Develop sales proposals, obtain necessary approvals, and present compelling proposals to clients.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with engineering teams to ensure accuracy in proposals and project execution. Collaborate with sales and area managers to align company and branch sales initiatives.
- Providing Customer Support: Conducting regular site visits to ensure proper use of equipment and customer satisfaction, addressing any issues promptly.
- Sales Reports: Maintain accurate and timely sales reports, contributing to sales projections and backlog management.
- Product Knowledge: Continuously enhance your product knowledge and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Construction preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in account management/sales within the construction industry. Experience in infrastructure or mining is an asset.
- Fluency in French; English is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and effective sales and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to learn new systems and techniques.
