As an In-Store Merchandise Coordinator, you will lead effective merchandising and installation services while onsite at Home stores, taking initiative to deliver high-quality merchandising solutions that bring planograms to life, drive sales, and enhance the in-store experience. Led by the Supervisor, Merchandising & Systems, this opportunity suits a hands-on, solutions-oriented professional who takes ownership from planning through execution while building strong relationships with Dealers and store teams.

- Lead the execution of in-store merchandising projects, including the installation of fixtures, millwork, interior signage, merchandising accessories, and product placement, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to plan.
- Own end-to-end project delivery, managing timelines and resolving issues, delays, or changes by developing practical, on-site solutions to keep projects moving forward.
- Make real-time recommendations and adjustments to merchandising plans as required, including product assortments, category allocation, and fixture layouts, based on store conditions and Dealer needs.
- Partner closely with Dealers and store leadership through daily on-site check-ins to ensure expectations are met and merchandising outcomes support store appearance and profitability.
- Coordinate the return of surplus or unused merchandising accessories to HHSL St. Jacobs to ensure accurate inventory reconciliation and credit.
- Track, document, and submit all project-related hours, expenses, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain strict adherence to Occupational Health & Safety standards while working in-store and on active project sites.
We’re looking for:
- Three to five years of experience in a retail store environment, with a strong focus on merchandising execution, planogram support, and in-store project coordination.
- Demonstrated proficiency in space management, merchandising standards, and retail presentation.
- Strong project execution skills, with the ability to visualize scope, take initiative, anticipate challenges, and independently lead work through to completion.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and organize teams, including planning work, assigning tasks, and driving projects through to completion.
- Solid understanding of Hardware and Building Centre retail product assortments.
- Hands-on assembly and basic carpentry skills, with the ability to install and assemble store fixtures and merchandising components.
- Flexibility and agility to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities, store conditions, or project timelines.
- A professional, customer-focused approach, with the communication skills to work effectively with Dealers, store teams, and trades.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and travel extensively as required.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications (email, reporting, expense submission, and planograms).
- Working knowledge of Home’s systems (Oracle, Connect, POS) is considered an asset.
- Fluently bilingual in French and English is an asset.
- Ability to safely meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and operating equipment such as ladders, pump trucks, skyjacks, and hand tools.
